Dorwell is a purpose built, family run cattery. Situated on the edge of Dartmoor National Park we are easily accessible, being only 200 yards from the main A38 at Wrangaton.
Licenced, insured and vet recommended, we offer a wide choice of accommodation and a high level of care. We can facilitate special diets and medication when provided.
Cats are covered by emergency insurance for the duration of their stay (not including pre-existing conditions)
All cats must have a current vaccination certificate and this must be shown on or prior to arrival. This must include:
Male cats over age of 8 months that have not been neutered cannot be boarded.
Minimum charge of £30 in the form of a non-refundable booking fee,
with the balance due on arrival.

For 3 or 4 Cats, 2 Deluxe side by side units are available to turn into a ‘Family Pen’

We have a minimum stay policy of 5 days over the Christmas period, with no drop offs or collections on the 24th, 25th and 26th December.
For stays over 30 days we offer a £5 discount per entire week of stay, per cat.
For stays over 30 days we need to gain additional insurance, with a charge of £11.20 per cat (which lasts another 31 days).
A collection and delivery service is available , please just ask when booking.
NB: Unit booked is NOT guaranteed – we will move bookings around to suit the needs of the business, whilst considering individual cat’s needs and nature.

• Minor changes (a day or two added or deducted) free

Dorwell cattery is situated off the A38 between Ivybridge and South Brent.
We are currently open 8:30am – 11:30am and 2:30pm – 4pm every day
From the 3rd November 2025 to 29th March 2026
Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday open 8:30am – 11:30am only.
No afternoon opening from November – April (excluding Christmas)
We will not be open Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday
We will be open every day from 15th December 2025 to 4th January 2026 8:30am – 11:30am and 2:30pm – 4pm.
We will not be open for drop off and collection on the 24th, 25th and 26th December.
